It's because of truly ignorant wasters of space like this that our language learning in this country is in a state of collapse. Learning and speaking a second language has huge benefits and these people want to vilify anything that isn't English.

It's only because they're afraid those nasty foreigners will say lots of nasty words about them in another language, and they won't understand what they're saying....

My son moved to Denmark, and so of course learned Danish. He told me he learned more about English grammar and sentence construction, learning Danish than he ever learned at school.
