Last year, a temporary parking structure for 800 bicycles was built at ‘s‑Hertogenbosch Station. Equipped with VelopA racks (#DCEnetwork), this short-term measure addresses the current shortage of bicycle parking spaces. It is intended to be dismantled and displaced in 2030.

These VelopA (?) racks are quite common on Dutch railwaystations. With the option of parking your bicycle 'upstairs'. Only issue is getting your backwheel out of the clamps on return.

Not only would Americans be astounded to see this kind of infrastructure. We would be astounded to see it as *recyclable* infrastructure. A chronic municipal failing here is our inability to deploy infrastructure to quickly address a need while more permanent solutions are financed and built.
