Robert Reich is putting out a false narrative. The costs are grossly excessive but that's not why its being shut down.

The place is being shut down because it was built haphazardly without an environmental assessment being done and no regard being taken for the environment resulting in a violation of National Environmental Policy Act and Endangered Species Act.
