Is there any way you can lobby your city or town to change over to a drone show or at least try it out? I have a doggo myself and while we heard a few pops on July 1st (that's the Canadian holiday), nothing that caused him any trauma. Thankfully. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Friday was surprisingly quiet here. There were very few fireworks. The cat, who is normally not afraid of the vacuum cleaner, thunder or other loud noises, hung out in the window for much of the evening.

So glad he had you there hugging him. Where I am it was lighter than usual. As someone said, “Fireworks are so 20th century,” and I hope they die out for good soon. My cats were only a little annoyed, not terrified.

Poor little guy. Just spent my first 4th in rural Virginia and there wasn't a single fireworks or gun shot. I don't know if they hate tRump or if this is normal for my new area. It's a relief after Indiana and their week long fireworks last year.

Being in the middle of nowhere in VT has its advantages. Did not hear a single firework. My pup Romeo who is 10 was grateful. A peaceful night instead of shaking uncontrollably in the shower
