I keep all my old eyeglasses in cases in a drawer just in case new glasses are misplaced/broken. The old prescriptions are close enough usually to help with what is needed.

I do the same but am wearing the backup glasses now. Need a couple more to have on hand. I really can't see very well without them and squinting only goes so far. I am getting a chain for them this weekend.😁
