Getting my Bluesky posts blamed for Democrats losing election after election as voters walk away from the party is indicative of the blindness plaguing its current members. As if I’m the one making the Democratic Party stale, unbending and unappealing.

I’m not. But you’d think I made US policy all by myself, the way people attack me for expressing an opinion on social media.

With all the assaults on voter rights, and suspicious tabulator data, I feel like voter apathy or dissatisfaction for the Democratic Party falls pretty low on the blame list, personally.

I won’t expect to see a post like this from your account. And I won’t try to redirect you if you make a post with which I disagree.

But, more importantly, how do you get your hummingbirds to share a feeder? Mine are territorial AF.

haha that’s just my bird who comes to the feeder every 10 minutes. I made that photo of her in different positions. She chases away any other hummingbirds.

Same. I notice a lot of people want to point the finger at others aligned in the fight against fascism, and to some extent there’re points to be made regarding current ineffective leadership. But, overall, I just don’t see that as a driving force in keeping voters from voting.

Seems you and the Democratic Party feel the same. Why worry about the electorate if you can point to the right and say vote for us or get that? Only the future will tell how well that will work. But as a lifelong Democrat tired of the BS, 30 years of that β€” still ending in Trumpism β€” isn’t it.

I agree with you. I believe anyone’s rationality to distance themselves from the Democratic Party has a lot to do with how Democrats have chosen to campaign, and failed to meet the urgency. I’m saying I’m not seeing that distancing translate into voters staying home on a large scale, comparatively.

Do you think voters are going to trust the next election when Democratic Party leaders aren’t even out here talking about how to secure them? I do think it’s going to affect voter turnout. I do think their failure to lead right now is going to be consequential.

I don’t know about other voters, but I won’t trust the results without full paper audits. It won’t stop me from voting, but I agree that it’s bound to impact turnout. To be sure, you and I acknowledging that reality will never be more responsible than the party’s inaction, like your OP was stating.

I'll take part of the blame! I'm so disgusted seeing Senate Dems who cave to Trump while gaslighting voters by CLAIMING to be anti-Trump but voting Trump's way, all for $$$. They count on constituents not tracking all votes. Bereft of moral conviction, they stand for nothing but re-election.

Current Dem party "leadership" keeps their hand out for $ and says only what their oners approve. Voters will follow any new leader who offers to lead on PRINCIPLES, to fight for the common good, and has some principles other than self-enrichment. 2/x

In the meantime, I will help you encourage current corrupt Dems to retire. Schumer, Jeffries, & @kenmartin.bsky.social don't realize yet the midterms will be a bloodbath.. in the primaries, because the Vichy Dem collaborators have shown themselves. We'll see them at the ballot box. /rant off

Same here. It’s getting very obvious how stupid it is watching certain parts of the organization doing the same stupid sh*t every election cycle somehow expecting a different outcome.
