Sodomy was a federal crime until the 00s and we lost an entire generation of gay men in the 80s. Brothers and fathers gone missing. We gained equal marriage rights in the 00s and even that is left un-codified and thrown back in our face every other election.

So what you should do as a gay man at the very least is be able to empathize better with the other groups of people you failed to defend, and realize you have it on easy mode compared to them. The only people who had it good “back in the day” were people who see us as fractions of human beings.

Do you feel better today?

I feel great today and felt great yesterday too. This isn’t some “got cha” and I wasn’t frustrated when writing this. I just think as a gay man with 80k followers you should be more responsible with your opinions.

I really don’t care what you think. You don’t know anything about me beyond this post. You definitely were hoping and trying for a gotcha, but you come off like a fascist wanting to control my thoughts and speech.

I don’t want someone like you having power over people any more than I want rightwing thought police having the same.

You believe whatever you assume is everyone’s reality. Your behavior is indicative of those who criminalize others for not sharing or bowing to their views. You are a leftwing version of the right, only currently powerless to enforce your demands.
