Cue the pasture-fed, calf-at-foot brigade who still don’t account for the male calfs likely ending up slaughtered and cut up into chunks a few months or years later.

Doesn't it even happen sooner than that?
In intensive dairy farms, yes. Calf at foot extends the period slightly.
A sadly familiar lament. So many people who know it's wrong and simply don't want to be reminded of it as they tuck into their double-burger with cheese. "Out of sight, out of mind". We need to get the message onto food packaging, billboards, everywhere.
Heard a talk from a Rivers Trust person re farms in Lancs. Milk run off into water is a massive problem apparently.. a lot more toxic than one would think. There’s a farm in our village next to the Ribble; the cows never graze outside. I shout apologies to them when I walk past. Not vegan, but…☹️
If consumers knew how their products were produced then they wouldn’t buy it. Incl most ‘milk’ alternatives like oatmilk. At least I’m aware how my milk is produced and happy to spend the extra money it costs to have milk from pasture fed cows from a ‘cow with calf’ farm.
Admirable that you don't consume milk from other sources: a chocolate bar at a train station or cake in a café, avoiding cheese on pizza, always eating dairy-free in restaurants, checking ingredients on packaging... Seems like a lot of effort though and you might as well be vegan, I'd say.
Even telling the truth about Palestinian babies being bombed is now outlawed, so what should we expect?
Thank you for the support @chrisgpackham.bsky.social - the ASA’s decision raises serious concerns about its independence and objectivity.
I hear cattle are forming unions to campaign for better working conditions.
