I relate. Maybe 10% of the time AI answers my question without grabbinga human for help. I suspect that's not a very good ROI...

I think the whole point is to further piss off customers so they take it out on the workers who then suffer more. Capitalism is the devil.

Nah. It's widespread, misguided optimism that technology will maximize profits by reducing the cost of human labor. The sunk cost fallacy hits decision-makers hard, and they ignore the measures and evidence they have. Pissing off customers reduces profit. Not very capitalistic to me.
