You do realize the people posting about it on social media aren’t posting their acts of protest online because it’s dangerous, and not because they aren’t doing anything, right?

They can track you and arrest you. For example, in 2020, the FBI tracked down a protester’s shirt to an etsy listing and were able to find her identity from there. Some of us have family we’re fighting for so making them harder to track down is important

The articles I linked explained a bit, but I don’t actually know the “official” legislation for it if I can be honest. I know it falls under national security though.
