Where I live, if I want to eat, I either have to cook, or get in my car and drive at least a mile and find somewhere to park in order to avoid going through a food app. At my family’s house in the Middle East, I can just walk down the street to a food cart basically at any point of the day

Not all of the middle-east unfortunately- not in Gaza where the population is being starved into leaving their ancestral homeland, and Israeli soldiers are shooting young men in the testicles for target practice.

We all need to say this at every opportunity, It’s not enough, but it must be said.

So the argument of “is it cheaper/easier to cook or do takeout” is worthless if you are all talking about different. It’s cheaper and easier for me to cook, but it probably wouldn’t be if I lived in like Queens rather than rural NC

It's a bit exhausting that so much of online discourse originates in the US, where in most circumstances driving is required for *anything*, and carried over wholesale to Europe, where the lived experience is wildly different, and then extrapolated wholesale to the rest of the world
