See. that's just it ... everyone loved my dad, UNTIL racism and bigotry. My friends loved coming over to spend the night because of my dad. They all said he was fun, but I only ever brought over white people. My black friends and Mexican friends weren't allowed in the house. Still, my dad was fun to
friends. They saw the man who drank and smoked weed, telling tall tales about all the screwed up and messed-up things he and his friends got into. He would drive really fast and act like a man-child. They loved it. Once he was exposed for the racist and bigoted person he was, they weren't my friend
any longer. I had some of those friends over for years, and they didn't realize how much he hated POC or the LGBTQIA community, THEN they questioned him. When they stopped coming around, he figured that they no longer liked him. He was literally that "the really cool uncle, but don't mention the
holocaust" kind of person. I mean that is the way others looked at him. I knew him better, but there are people you can be around for years and never hear them say a word about things to know that is what they're like. My cop friend was like that. In 30 years, he had never said the N word, not once.
We spent 5 nights per week nearly around each other for hours on end, and never did he show his true colors. It wasn't until Trump ran the first time that he began using the N word. no longer friends. I still have him as a contact, and him us, but no ... not considered a friend. Some are really good at hiding who they really are, and even when they let it slip, they have such a long past by that point that they love you anyway. At least over here. It's like my brother helping
family. If you don't have your rent, he'll pay it. If you need your car worked on, he'll do it. If you want to go out to dinner, he'll pay for it. My husband said he's never seen such a big-hearted person who was so damned hateful towards POC and the LGBTQIA comm. It is his only redeeming quality.

I don't think I have ever heard him say an unkind word about East Asians. The only thing I have ever heard him say about an Asian is how much smarter they are than people in the US. In a way, I would say he actually admires them. He calls them the "other" white people. My brother's friends love him
I don't know what to say to you other than people who meet my brother have no clue who he really is. Either his mask was so good in front of people that he managed to fool the highest echelons of various corporations, or every single person on the planet is just like him. He is treated like royalty
