True, but it also makes it harder for a politically elected official to visually lean on a judge or sheriff.

In general no official in the DOJ should be elected/nominated. Only the secretary/minister and its report. Obviously part of the low enforcmement should directly report to court (generally a low %): the so called "Judicial Police". In my opinion this is the only framework that guarantees balance

Technically a Supreme Court judge is supposed to be a constitutionalist foremost and impartial. But that’s not what’s happened, a few lied to get in office and others have been kissing the felons ring.
