An American Republican was shocked when I told him I've never heard any nostalgia for British rule or desire to return to being a colony in my native island or almost any other island. He is convinced that black people were happier under white rule. Most conservatives here agree with him.
I always try to put myself in another persons shoes. So that I can at least understand why a person thinks a certain way, even if I disagree. Then I hear something like that and I realise that there are some things I’ll never understand.
