Peaceful protest did not defeat the Confederates 160 yrs ago. I do not expect it to work on today's Confederates, who are far more numerous and dangerous.

I'm a Caribbean immigrant. I learned WAY more US history than almost all white American history PhD's I've ever met. They are incredibly racist and dishonest on any racial topics. That's even worse in the general population. The level of genocide denial is just insane.

Republicans are banning thousands of books, wiping gov't records and building Confederate monuments to erase accurate history and perpetuate the Nazi lies. The mainstream white American version of black history is "black people sold each other". Most do not know that Europe invaded Africa.
Grateful for you and your education! I need to study more. My continuing education is mostly in nursing as I’m still working as an RN, but I can still learn more on our full history. My first degree is in economics. Learning our history on it makes me nuts about our current situation for certain.
When I arrived in the USA as a new immigrant for college, white people kept telling me that black people sold each other and Europeans never set foot in Africa. At the same time they also told me that Reagan was correct to support the apartheid white minority gov't of South Africa against Mandela.
That apartheid South Africa gov't in Elon Musk's native land was the last remaining white Empire in Africa after 600 yrs of genocide, slavery & apartheid. I remember huge wars in the 60s & 70s as the US helped white Empires which were fighting to stop black liberation & independence in Africa.

Why the same beliefs as Hitler's Nazi eugenics. It's the belief that a certain group of inbred people is genetically superior to other humans. This dominates Western culture, and quite a few other cultures as well. With that comes murderous contempt for those of genetically diverse ancestry.
