I'm sick of you Dems with cordial chummy ties with Republicans who spend your lives bashing Dems with shifting goalposts. You're a critical part of the GOP. Shame on you.

Yes, but have you heard of Fetterman? I kid of course. But, holding "Dems" who align all too often with the Repubs accountable is part of how we prevent the move toward centrism which has insidiously impacted the left.
Fetterman represents voters who just elected a GOP Senator along with voting for Trump again. He votes with Dems FAR more often than his own voters do. We need to hold those a$$hole VOTERS accountable, starting w/whites. I'm seeing far too little of that and far too many attacks on elected Dems.
I agree. It would be nice to see less in fighting among the Dem party and more accountability for voters.
This starts with bashing someone like Fetterman, as opposed to the vast majority of white Americans who are on his right and who are much worse. I despise some of what Fetterman does, but he overwhelmingly votes with Bernie Sanders. He's a huge improvement on most white folks in PA and nationwide.
The cutoff point has to be somewhere. Mine is just different from yours. I don't want to aim for mediocre officials. I want us to keep pushing for the best. We can do better than Fetterman.
White supremacist people in PA, frustrated with Fetterman, just overwhelmingly voted for Trump and replaced Bob Casey with Trump buttwipe McCormick. Fetterman is very much at risk of being replaced by a Republican. So is Josh Shapiro.
When I think about PA, I don't start beef with Fetterman. My top problem is the vast majority of whites in PA, followed by the tremendous GOP vote among Latinos and other non-black PoC there.
Are you under the impression I have chummy ties with Republicans or shifting goalposts?
Yes, because that is the overwhelming majority of criticism I'm seeing of Democrats. You might be an exception. It depends on the details of what your criticism are. You didn't specify. But almost all of the criticism I'm seeing of Dems is perfectionism coming from folks with ties to GOPers.
Then maybe you should read the column I wrote where I very much did specify. www.elizabethspiers.com/why-dems-kee...
Or maybe this one I wrote where I talk about bipartisan appeals as stupid fantasy: www.nytimes.com/2024/07/15/o...
Or just Google me and note that I’m a progressive who’s worked with DSA candidates centrists love to bash?
Your comments about media do not resonate with me at all. Mainstream media is dominated by horrible white folks. So is social media, including AFAIK this platform. The moderation is very racist and pro-GOP. I just had some posts deleted here on this platform and am threatened with a ban.
That's my experience across social media. It's extremely racist and suppressive of truth on racism, the main attraction of the GOP. Mainstream media is worse. I've never watched 'West Wing' or 'Veep', so I have no idea what you mean in that NYT article.
I do know that I almost never see serious truth on racism in the NYT, as we approach Civil War II for exactly the same reason as the last war. I voted for Mamdani even though I'm quite angry at him for not endorsing or supporting Harris last year. My experience with DSA folks is horrible.
Mamdani lost black voters to Cuomo, and could lose them again if he continues like he did last yr. He seems to be taking a different approach, fingers crossed.
85% of black voters voted for Harris. No other group has any excuse for their far higher voting for Trump. The question isn't "What Dems did wrong". It's WTF is wrong with white folks and lighter-skinned people of color.
That’s not true at all. I don’t think you read the paper if that’s what you think.
You might have missed this: bsky.app/profile/jone...
Sorry, could you please be specific about what's not true? You're responding to a chain of my posts and I'm not sure which one you dispute.
What DSA folks do you have experience with ? AOC is DSA too and she was still standing behind Biden toward the end precisely *because* Black voters voted for him
Numerous. AOC has improved, but she has an extremely difficult time naming and addressing racism. She and Bernie went on a tour to fight oligarchy. They did not fight bigotry & hatred, which is why we have so many more oligarchs and why their net worth has surged so much since Civil Rights.
