Why can’t he just scrap the bill. Reeves said ‘the world is changing’ that doesn’t mean you have to emulate everything that others are doing that’s bad. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

If the government actually cared about soaring disability they'd do the obvious .. like biannual COVID vaccinations. Everything they do reeks of denial and victim blaming. That said, the Con were going to scrap all PIP .. and Farage's Fascists Plc will probably 'assisted die' us on sight.

Which makes it all the more disappointing (understatement!) that the Labour Gov't is doing something so immoral. Where do decent people turn? Green or Lib Dem, or Plaid Cymru, etc, but not enough numbers for one distinct Party. Labour are bringing in the far right and I, for one, won't forgive them.

I have been torn also on who to vote for. I don’t feel there is enough being done to support clinically vulnerable people but then the smaller parties aren’t getting much press coverage. At a time where vulnerable lives aren’t being valued I am against assisted dying, I just don’t trust

that the safeguards will be in place and now after platforming it Labour have said there is no funding and so it will be run again by private companies. This leaves me feeling very uneasy.

I don’t think any of the parties are doing enough about long covid. We have 3.2 million and climbing, it’s not a small issue. Globally estimated at 409 million. Out of all the parties the one that will move us away from corporate interference would be the Green Party. They have said about long covid

also and asked questions in the House of Lords. I do think they are all hard working MPs who genuinely care. So I think I am most likely to vote for them because the represent real change. I think the outcome of the next election is most likely to be a hung parliament or coalition government.

Plaid Cymru also have some good candidates in Wales. So a vote for them would also be good because it represents people who understand local problems.

Labour are now not a left wing party imo. It worries me many will be sucked in by thinking Reform are left wing and I don’t think there is enough coverage of Trump so people will see what’s happening over there.

Indeed. Reform are hard right, and Labour pandering to their voters makes them respectable.

They also said that Reform are the main opposition when clearly the local elections showed a different picture. I don’t even know where to start on Reeves comments on Trump.

I feel the same about assisted dying. I understand why some people want it, but we are at the mercy of a Government's whim & history prepares us for the worst. Deeply inadequate funding for palliative/ long term care & disabled people, while funding assisted dying, is deeply sinister.

I agree. We hear plenty about Trump on the world stage, but the authoritarianism and blatant bigotry and abandonment of healthcare , kidnappings off the street, etc, should be screamed from the rooftops - including how Reform UK's belief system is aligned with Trump's worst excesses.

Indeed. If the EU and Berlin could change their financial rules, why is she persisting in following the rules. Good government should be about making necessary decisions
