Got my first "No on 50" mailer yesterday. I wanted so bad to call some phone number listed and just start laughing at them. I feel like signing up to help them just to have them waste a bunch of time and resources on me.
OMG. I just got ANOTHER one today! 4 colors, both sides on card stock. They are going to try to hit this with a ton of money. I think I'll start saving them to see who the "Paid for by..." is in each case. Of course it will never just say "the CA republican party" or "Billionaires for Tyranny".

CA is one of the easiest states to register, get informed, and vote. You don't even have to leave the house. I grew up in CA, but moved to Texas 7 years ago so my wife could get an advanced degree (not because we loved Texas). It is so hard to register or vote here. Don't take CA for granted!
You mean the birth certificate, proof of residence, and DNA sample that DMV wants? (Almost to that point). So you can get a REAL ID. Then you have to check online to make sure you haven't been taken off the voter rolls.
My biggest fear is that underinformed or overly idealistic people will fall for the propaganda trying to discourage them from supporting this bill because it would “make us as bad as they are.“ In this case, the principle of “2 wrongs don’t make a right“ doesn’t hold water. This is sadly needed!
Sometimes something is so wrong the normal methods don’t work. If a dad is attaching the other little league team with a baseball bat, you don’t wait for the commissioner to rule or the police to show up. Imminent threat requires above and beyond measures.

Hey Californians! I was one of you from 1979-1988. Please talk to everyone you are around about voting. I was recently in my local Asian market and discovered that the owners don’t vote, but are citizens. I encouraged them to register and vote in the next election. Every vote matters!
