That's what I find fascinating: In the scenario described above, there's reason to suspect the bulk any initial outcry would've come from the National Guard members, their families and allies in red states, as opposed to DC residents. E.g., "You're deploying me to pick up trash?"

I did a lot of dog & pony bs when I was in…..but this is a whole other level. I would be furious.
