When someone notices that I've lost weight, I feel the need to tell them I'm on tirzepatide. I know how hard it was to lose weight without it (I found sustained weight loss to be impossible, and regular weight gain to be inevitable) Not disclosing my pharmaceutical assist feels like stollen valor

Odd how we get those feelings for only certain things but not others.

Large people I share the journey (70 lbs, zepbound). Fit people I just say “extreme calorie reduction”.

In what way is it stolen valor? I have an easy time losing weight compared to other people but that has a lot to do with my body responding well to hunger regulatory hormones and probably a higher tolerance to fasting. Genetics forms a big part of it. Being overweight isn’t a moral failing.

I share, too. Been an absolutely game changer for me and I only considered starting it because someone I know was open about it.
