I’m too messed up from a med start to make Rep & Senator calls about RFK & the CDC at the mo (hopefully better later tonight…?), but I just messaged my whole family to push them to make calls. Encourage the people around you who care about these issues to give their Senators & Reps an earful.
I always let people know about leaving voice mails if they’re reluctant to talk to someone. I also always make sure people know that ‘We need a strong CDC, this RFK jerk is a disaster & needs to be fired!’ is FINE. It does not have to be long or fancy.
1. Make it clear you are their constituent so the call gets counted. 2. Make it clear what issue you care about & what outcome you want to see I honestly think everything else is gravy - we need high numbers of calls more than anything.
My plan is to basically say I have had JUST ABOUT ENOUGH of that particular bozo and Jean and the Mags and Chris need to DO SOMETHING because I want him GONE 🤬
Sounds perfect to me! Getting all these other bozos to do anything useful is probably too big an ask, but it’s better to try than not!
