I do. Every mayor since I’ve been aware of mayors leaves office unpopular and gets yeah, I guess I’ll vote-level support for reelection, if they get it at all.

I didn’t because I didn’t appreciate how much being good looking, articulate, and media savvy would work in his favor. He also was savvy enough to use RCV in his favor and build relationships with people he needed to win; something most progressives populists tend to be really bad at.

It remains to be seen how much ignoring the Democratic base and throwing red meat to leftists/progressives will work outside of safely blue districts.
