The reality is that the Democratic party is what is known in Political Science as "controlled opposition". The members of the Democratic party have no interest in winning any fights, as long as the fundraising after their defeats is more profitable.

That is an endemic problem with our system Not voting for Dems wont help. We have an older generation of politicians who need to be primaried, but then you have to hold your nose and vote for whatever non Repub is on the ballot. Imagine what Biden could have done with 60 senators!
