It highlights my big issue with the movie (which I also mostly found dull). The idea that he can intentionally cause crashes without putting the other drivers health on the line. Essentially the hero is the guy who evades all the safety rules so that he can win.
Right. It's a thing we didn't talk about on the show, but to me, somebody causing crashes in order to exploit safety rules to benefit their own team is not only cheating, but dangerously cheating, and that doesn't really seem to rub anybody the wrong way in the entire movie!
