I thought the way the recent Stand series restructured the story was a decent idea for episodic TV, just executed terribly and still very rushed for the amount of ground to cover.

Don’t know if improvement is possible. But for tv unless you’re going to spend a season on the world ending, a season on players getting to Boulder and a season on the end I feel like you have to play with the structure to have a chance at watchability. And can’t begin to imagine a faithful movie.

Dunno. Lots of ways to tell stories! "Station 11" had a semi-similar, but more successful contained approach. But agree that a movie, even a couple of movies, won't work.
