Absolutely love Joyce Carol Oates’ presence on social media but have not agreed with a single post relating to movies. It’s weird, always as if she saw a completely different film than I did. Shrug emoji goes here.

It has been a joy to discover my old CW prof @joycecaroloates.bsky.social's thought-provoking posts as well as the catholocity of her interests. Our differing perceptions of Fuller's "The Naked Kiss" would have provided great fodder for a class debate, in which she was always exquisitely exacting.
