Why not both? He’s a politician, of course it’s politics, nothing he does or says in public isn’t. He’s using politics to protect the rights of his state. That’s good, right? But that’s just a slice of it. He’s risen above the noise to take shots at a Fascist regime that seems to be landing.
This whole thing is absurd. We are YEARS away from a nomination. There’s time to use Newsom to push back against fascism but find a candidate who isn’t a little baby bigot to run as a Democrat. Propping up shitty people because “who else we got” is literally why we’re here, and we’re doing it again?

If you read my post I said, bring on the primaries! Or i said that to someone around the time I was pointing out, kudos to Newsome for fighting back, and landing punches. But who else you got? Name somebody with his skills, who can win a general election? I got nobody. Time will tell.
