We passed a voter referendum amendment in 2010 for fair districts. DeSantis ignored it, vetoed the bipartisan drawn congressional map, & our Republican majority legislature rolled over & voted for the map he overstepped his powers & drew himself, giving us a 20R-8D Congressional map.
What you described is what democrats want. But until maga agrees, dems need to play by the same set of rules (or lack therof) as the republicans.
