In Canada we encourage voting, have protections built-in our system so fraud isn’t an issue here. I would be terrified if the U.S. electoral system came here, it supports, election fraud, and interference. That’s why we can’t vote for Poilievre he has an agenda to be U.S.A shadow government.

We use paper ballots and our election is run and monitored by Elections Canada, which is non-partisan and follows strict procedure. So hopefully we won’t have any issues with the voting 🤞

In addition, every candidate has the right to appoint representatives to oversee the voting and counting process at polling stations. They are usually called scrutineers; another important measure in ensuring fairness and transparency in elections.

Oh yes - great article. I didn’t realize all the protocol around counting the votes - wow! Very interesting. And I’m happy we still do it this old-fashioned way rather than electronic. Hopefully they’ll never change it!

100%! There is NO reason to change it, regardless of how big our population grows, because resources (e.g. volunteers, etc) will grow with it. The U.S.A. can and should emulate our system.

They have other ways to influence with misinformation, they get into peoples minds with nonsense and sway votes that way. Elon Musk is very busy.
