Look up tiny homes at CalMatters. We have a community of tiny homes in my community. The tiny home villages are clean, have community kitchens, laundry and showers. Pets are welcome. Ours opened last year with more on the way. They are close to shopping, transportation and free meals.
Yeah! I’ve heard about that community and love the idea, I am hoping he’s partnering with communities like this and funding the development of more so we aren’t just cleaning up encampments and throwing them in jail. A lot of people are worried about it so I wanted to highlight the blind spot.
There are many projects in California cities. We're renovating motels into studio apartments. We fund home sharing, board & care for those who are too ill to live alone, sober living housing and expanded shelter space for those who choose not to participate in substance abuse or work programs.

That's great. We should all be finding ways to help the homeless. I'm sure none of them would choose to be homeless.
No one wants to be on the streets where they are often victims of crime and violence. Many times the people who get help and reenter the workforce become peer counselors and outreach workers. They are amazing, kind and compassionate.
