Mind's mostly made up on these. Full Moon Fever is a Petty solo 💿 that should have been a Heartbreakers 💿. Don't Tell a Soul is a Replacements record that should have been a Westerberg solo record. The XTC vs the Cult matchup is maybe the two most mannered bands in the tournament head-to-head😝.

Crazy seeing all these out in 1989; early that year XTC, Elvis Costello, & Replacements were my first 3 CDs. By the end of the year, I'm downstate in grad school, buying CDs and used LPs with student loan money, and so many of these--Mekons, Mould, Camper, now take me directly back to Normal, IL.

The Replacements are practically my all-time favorite band, but Mekons ROCK ‘N’ ROLL is close to the best album in the whole tournament.
