Why isn’t @libdems.org.uk calling it out in parliament and asking for formal inquiries… cos lazy arse Nandy won’t be !
Why isn’t @libdems.org.uk calling it out in parliament and asking for formal inquiries… cos lazy arse Nandy won’t be !
Nandy is am arsehile like the rest of them. Once calling out for the police to treat Scottish independence supporters like the Spanish police treated Catalonians.
Nandy seems to do nothing
Except come out now and then with a ignorant hateful comment aimed at stirring the pot. Yet to see her have any meaningful contribution
they probably are they are just being ignored
And if you want somebody to do something about it, you can start by doing something yourself - raise a complaint with the BBC here: www.bbc.co.uk/contact/comp... If every person who's commented on this thread raised a formal complaint with the BBC, that would make a difference. Please do it!
Already … sounding a wee bit condescending tbh
Even if that were so - and it's a subjective judgement - why should it change the valid point made about the value of using the complaints system?
Errr, as previously said, I did before commenting. It’s the assumption nobody should have an opinion here unless ticked others boxes
Parliament is currently in recess. Nobody will be doing anything in Parliament about anything for a week or two, so please don't blame the LibDems or Lisa Nandy for not raising it.
Nandy has previous … I have hope for @libdems.org.uk to do the right thing
Err.. Nandy is not the Home Secretary
She is culture, media secretary so could ask the BBC why it’s so keen promoting the views of racist shit stirrers.
Yes she could but never does
Yes, this government seems incapable of standing up for decency.
Perhaps because they can’t win for loosing. They haven’t helped themselves but it really is a guilty to proven innocent environment
No, she's the Culture/Media Secretary - as in accountable for broadcasting!
Last time I looked bbc was in broadcasting … badly admittedly
Nandy thought it was appropriate to march the Israeli ambassador into the BBC after Glastonbury. It seems you can have it both ways when it comes to pandering to the right.
But that was a completely different issue
I don’t think it would be wise for the government to weigh in on this with the BBC, Sky etc - there is a high chance it would be counter productive.
They should simply replace Johnson's appointees with more credible, capable people. That sounds reasonable to me.
They should do that and maybe they will
They would have done it by now. They are shit scared. They play by tory rules now. Sad.
Still time … maybe building the case
Do we have a Representation of the People Act? Farrage seems like misrepresentation of the people (of everything).
But she is SoS for Media (& Culture & Sport) - the point here is not to do with immigration as such but with the amount of airtime given to Farage/Reform to spew on national TV channels - esp. when compared with airtime allowed to other parties with as many or many more MPs.
There’s no way Nandy would or should put the government on the line on this - it would be a disaster for them
I very much doubt it would be a disaster but she won’t do it so let’s hope @libdems.org.uk think there should be a level playing field
😣
Do as Scotland has done, boycott bbc, there is less than 190.000 here now have a tv licence. It's the only language they understand.

Well that did a lot then … cosy chats don’t work just look at yesterday
