Also our Alexas with screens were giving weather warnings, but without sound. One oddity is that people keep talking about Blue Alerts β€” husband and I have lived in Texas our entire lives and have never heard of Blue Alerts. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

I thought blue alerts were for fallen law enforcement?

I have also lived here my entire life and they are the worst. Had to disable all alerts to turn them off.

They are obnoxious. I turn them off sometimes because our house is way up on a cliff and floods won’t impact it. Had them turned on Thursday because weather was looking bad near my BIL’s house, which is close to river.

In San Antonio here and I feel like maybe I've seen blue alerts a couple of times? Maybe? What goes off the most in my area seems to be Amber Alerts 🫀 I have legit anxiety about hail storms so I have close to 10 weather apps going off all the time with any weather event.

We get tons of Amber Alerts in Austin too. At least they describe the child now. For a long time, they’d just say a child is missing, and I thought how am I to know if a kid walking down our street is the missing kid? πŸ€ͺ
