He's both

He's good enough at lying to fool the maga rubes.

Well, in their defense, it doesn't take much to fool them. Hell, most of us can see a blowhard conman coming from a mile away. It's mind boggling to me that they fall for the most obvious, outrageous lies ever. A lot of the lies don't even make any sense.

My brothers and I were raised by the same parents, yet one of my brothers is completely opposite of me politically. We weren't raised to praise or enable bullies. We were taught to stop bullying.

My brother is the same. I don't know how he turned out the way he did. He and his family live in Texass and I only get to see them about once a year. We get along ok as long as we don't discuss politics. He is a retired Army Sgt Major and isn't dumb. I will never understand it.

I was the underachiever of the family, growing up. They brought home dazzling report cards, I brought home the turkey. We all pulled one enlistment hitch, honorably discharged. We all had clearances. Only one of us drank the fool-aid. So many similarities, with that one glaring exception.

They say you can only be conned if you want something. ie You want that Rolex for cheap so you ignore that it likely isn't real or, at best, "fell off a truck". Trump provides them with cover for their racism, sexism, laziness, lust, greed, nastiness and they will overlook lots to get that.

It is sickening.

And they, and the rest of us against our will, are paying a heavy price for it! It's like, don't you even care about your own kids and grandkids? Being around brown people will not hurt them, not having health care or job prospects will!

They believe their children and grandchildren will be above all of that with the money they pass on to them. Rule of the oligarchs. Also a factor, they are shameless and think "why should I worry, I'll be gone".

You give him too much credit. Radar is not used under water. That would be sonar.
