I agree. I like the news but am tired of all the "opinion" and "analysis". I remember when CNN's Headline News was just news. "Give us 30 minutes and we'll give you the world."

I truly believe the 24 hour news cycle is the end of us. Now an "event" happens, and for 24 hours you get hammered with opinions on the event from talking head after talking head. They WANT you to turn your brain off and just go with what they said. It makes it easier to lie to you.

Whether they lie or not (it's opinion and I can tell it's opinion) it's not really why I watch the news.

For sure, but it's is inundation - the more you hear X, the easier it can be to start THINKING X.

Makes sense. When I hear something that does not make total sense right away, I like to find multiple sources for the same thing.
