If someone calls a number with the same number spoofed as the from caller ID, it will take you directly to the voicemail login (at least for cellular carriers). Always set a voicemail password that is better than 1234... Number spoofing is still far too easy...

Bank of America was a client of mine a long time ago.

9/10 phone calls and 8/10 texts are this bs. I’m so tired of the firehose of crap in every element of my digital life.

The way to avoid being scammed is to be as rude as you possibly can. you owe these creeps nothing. When you get a message saying "Hey, is this Linda?" Just answer "Linda is dead. I will be burying her body in the back yard soon. Wanna help?" If it's a genuine wrong number, oh well.

To be safe, we let everything go to voicemail if we don’t know who it is and if they don’t leave a message usually that spam for sure if they leave a weird message then we just delete it and then we blocked them.

If you're not a contact in my phone or an area code I am visiting, I prob won't answer. If it's important, they'll leave a message. If it's really important, they'll text me.

I deal with them almost daily. I just block them.

The government should do more to fight against these organizations, some of which are state sponsored.

I immediately tag them as junk & delete.
