I've been slowly integrating smart devices into living spaces for the last 5 or so years, looking forward to having a good mix of both tactile and soft control of electronics in my house, like lighting, shutters, blinds, TV's to work in tandem to create an amazing and unique atmosphere in my home.
NO!! Do NOT want! Do NOT need! The "smart home" is a means to exploit people!
We need this why? The less thinking we need to do the dumber we become
Don't want it. The last thing I want is more complicated tech crap collecting information about me so they can sell me more tech crap.
I wouldn't trust anything from treasonous companies. "Smart home" is just another thing for hackers to go after.
No thanks.
It’s about Matter, a smart home standard, finally stabilizing after a rocky start. With heavyweights like Google, Apple, and Ikea backing it, the dream of a seamless, easy-to-use smart home setup is getting closer.
