Honestly we was warned in 80’s .. But ya known.. some folks think “ oh they didn’t mean us “.. The folks : Rich White People
I’ve seen warning from papers in the 1950s. Perhaps from scientists who weren’t so well known but they were all correct.
I was just hitting the double digits as a 10 year old . Right around 86 ( last sister was born) is when they talked of the earth melting and flooding . Extreme weather phenomenon, Possible flips of weather .. all to start happening 2020’s .. they was right ..
I love the positive tone at the end of the article. "The good news is that scientists now have tons of data, and that we know that the solution is to cut greenhouse emissions!". Yeah that's great news. The doctor knows Kennedy has a deadly infection, but he won't take his medicine anyhow, so...
You'd have to be living in a cave not to realize the planet is changing and heading for a disastrous future. World leaders aren't listening. They are too concerned about holding power, increasing power, and personal wealth. People don't want to change their life style to save the planet.
Correction: The consequences will be dire.
Could someone explain to our nations of ice around the globe to wait till trump builds his Gaza Riviera? Actually, nevermind, he pays no attention to climate warnings.
East coast summers are generally brutal. Average daytime temps in August are around 90*, high humidity, continuing into mid-September. This yr, August has been mild & breezy...as if fall has arrived 6 wks early. Nighttime temps dip as low as 57*! It's been lovely but this is a shocking, major shift.
Meteorological fall is September 1. Hallmark’s fall is the equinox. 90° is “brutal”? That’s HILARIOUS! 90° is a cool down in Louisiana.
Yep...NOLA is really oppressive at times...especially in summer. I've spent time there & I lived in south TX for 14yrs...I know heat & constant humidity. 90* on the coast can be brutal with high humidity too. It's usually close to 100* from mid July to Sept. So...there ya go. I'll take snow any day
Temps in the sun are 120-130° in July and August. It’s really amazing.
This summer dew points have been in the high 70s with ~ 60% humidity during the day (except for a hurricane etc humidity rarely gets to 50% during the day; 100% at night is the usual). It’s been as close to a normal summer in YEARS. It gets below 80° I get chilled. I work outside.

"Will be"
No one is listening. We know what’s up but the leaders we continue to put in office work against everyone’s interests and well-being.
Has no effect on gambling and sports.
I'm super glad we'll continue to do nothing about this, just like the past 50 some odd years.
It’s a stark warning about Antarctica’s ice melting rapidly due to sudden climate shifts. If unchecked, this could lead to unstoppable sea level rise, flooding coastal cities worldwide.
The perpetrators don't care; they just go somewhere else and continue there. The main thing is that their bank accounts keep growing.
