Biden did not turn it down. The AG’s office under Merrick Garland was responsible for criminal investigations. Unlike this insanely corrupt Trump administration, the president’s office did not interfere in the Epstein affair.

Ordering the prosecution of the opposition leader by the president is the primary characteristic of a dictator. Trump would have been even more popular with the red neck masses. Only the AG should be responsible for that non-partisan decision.
