Anyone who has carefully followed the rise of Donald Trump to power knew what the consequences would be of him being in office.
Anyone who has carefully followed the rise of Donald Trump to power knew what the consequences would be of him being in office.
I wouldn't say particular care was needed to see the blatantly apparent.
I completely agree with you. I'm not American, and it was blatantly obvious to me before he was elected the first time. For shame America, for shame, you are costing the entire planet, not just the US.
Many of us worked very hard against him. Blame the fucking psycho evangelical religious right, who went 80% for Trump every time. They want to burn down pluralistic democracy to institute white theocracy
You sure did. The thing is, you were up against a truly disgusting, evil fraud. The lies were so obvious, but you seem to have an oversupply of poorly educated religious racists.
The most natural outcomes from a two-party, winner takes all system are a deeply divided and resentful society or a full dictatorship. I don't see how it could ever work well, except temporarily or with an outside threat serious enough for Americans to unite against.
Yes, you are right, but it pertains to all Western democratic countries, not just the US. We are fortunate to have a lot of Independants running now, but they have a huge uphill battle to get the same rights as the two party system.
Yeah, and that's about all we have.
HUGE OVERSUPPLY 🎯
Uneducated religious bigotry is not an anomaly, it’s a large percentage of the American culture. Probably 40% or higher. Trump recognized this and has exploited these minions for his own gains both in power and personal wealth.
That's an understatement. I think 40% are maga members that you described in your post. Every day is another day closer to death. I don't know if I want to wake up to the news the chrump died overnight or if I wanted to hear it when it happened. hitler was the only man hated more than chrump
I reckon if Vance takes over, we will be in a lot worse situation.
Certainly in no better situation.
Most of us didn't vote for him THREE TIMES. Two elections were rigged by Putin and then Putin/Musk.
It's one of the most hazardous mistakes in politics to get deluded by conspiracy theories that attempt to vindicate the failures that could be learnt from and corrected for the next round, blaming them instead on some vague external factor, leading to the same mistakes being repeated.
I very much want that to be proven beyond doubt, even to the dumbest evangelical RW nutjobs comprehension.
As an American independent the frustration we feel is almost disabling. Watching one party literally kiss the orangutans ass is truly sickening. Watching his cabinet members take turns fondling him with embarrassing comments about chrump. The celebration when he dies will be bigger than our 250th bd
Unfortunately, then it'll just be Vance taking instructions from Miller, Vought, and whoever else has been giving Trump the coordination for Project 2025. Don doesn't seem to be doing much besides playing golf and airing out demented ramblings of no consequence.
I agree
I'm thinking that the democrats will do well enough in the midterms to stifle Vance's or trump's agenda. It would be nice to win the midterms and impeach trump and the throw him in jail as soon as we can. The republicans will be dumb and drive more people to be independent and vote for the democrats
Impeachment without a two-thirds majority in the Senate to convict would only lead to Trump declaring full vindication and baseless witch-hunt by flailing Democrats who knew all they had were their usual lies. Not a winning strategy and was already tried and shown to fail before.
He doesn't look so healthy lately. I don't like wishing harm on anyone but trump is harming so many groups of people I can't help but feel that way. He is driven by spite and revenge in making his decisions about the country. Hopefully we will fix the laws that got us here. Release Epstein Files
I can't wait. It will be worth flying to the US to help you celebrate.
Honestly, i thought it was so frigging absurd the idea that he could win, I simply didnt give much thought to what would happen if he did. (Also, not an American)
He scared the crap out of me when he decided to run the first time.
