Imagine if all of a network’s top shows did what South Park just did. Not just mocking corruption, but exposing cowardice, calling out billion-dollar deals, and reminding us that truth still has a stage. Would it be chaos? Or the beginning of courage in mainstream media?
It would be chaos initially, but it would bring back courage to report the facts quickly. Corporate suits know where their bread is buttered and that's all they know.
I'd like to see all the shows call out ICE for the racist, xenophobic group that it is, and do shows that are supportive of immigrants instead of Trump's secret police.

I’d like to imagine that just the news was pointing out each lie and providing facts. instead now days they just yell “Epstein “ and put a microphone in front of his face and let him ramble on forever. No one ever corrects him at all.
To me clearly a strong beginning. The cowardice of mainstream media is disheartening and disgraceful
I think it would mark a return to true, honest, factual journalism. We shouldn’t have to rely on comedians and South Park for the truth. But this has been going on for a decade, if not longer.

Unfortunately, all of legacy media has been wholly owned by right wing billionaire acquisition broligarchs since 2022, and now that CBS has fallen, and NPR and PBS have been defunded, there IS no media that doesnt DONATE DIRECTLY TO TRUMP so there IS no one to stand against what he's doing. Nobody!

Comedy Central is owned by Paramount and they just paid South Park over a billion dollars for their show! What is going to happen now that they merged with a far right owner?
All these new eyes watching because they “trashed trump!” will be inundated with messages normalizing fascism.
Colbert and Stewart have been doing it too. These cowardly networks still need eye balls and ad revenue. And the My Pillow guy is broke. We can also just block those channels from our cable boxes and streaming devices like we block trolls and disinformation on here.
Return of courage, maybe. When the FCC eliminated the rules of media ownership during the Reagan years, anyone paying attention knew the media consolidation would result in what we're experiencing now. This was by design. It's exactly why they eliminated the rules.
