I never said it was impossible to hack by sophisticated hackers can hack it.
Unless this is something new, all cellebrite can do is access logs on an unlocked device in their physical control, which anyone can do. Have they actually broken the encryption? I can't tell since that article is paywalled.
@arcadianvision.bsky.social ?
I don't think they're in the habit of disclosing what is involved. And the fee is $500k
They are though. That's how this info is known its how the article you linked was written. It's taken from a public blog post they shared.
It's all very specific and not something to worry about if they don't possess your unlocked phone.
Also, I was referring to this, which did not require your unlocked phone, but was done through malware. citizenlab.ca/2021/07/hook...
This is a bigger threat than the cellebrite stuff, but is also the norm for malware. If someone can access your device, they can view the info on it. That's an endpoint attack. Encryption largely doesn't protect against endpoint attacks, it protects against midpoint attacks.
No you weren't, the guardian article you posted was about cellebrite.
The paywalled Haaretz article you didn't read?

Look at the screenshot. If you can show the part of the article that discussed candiru we can talk about that
Do you have that info @arcadianvision.bsky.social ?
I assume you can't on account of being full of shit.
Well thank fuck they were all locked in the SCIF having this group chat and nobody could have had their phone compromised.
So you admit you were wrong about them not disclosing the info?
Not what I said dipshit. Don't conflate the illegal dumb shit actions of cabinet level officials with regular people who can rely on signal to avoid being spied on by those idiot cabinet officials.
