This is an ominous sign: Amazon Prime Day Spending Down 14% in Early Hours From 2024 www.bloomberg.com/news/article... 14% is a pretty big drop even if there are mitigating reasons.

I participated last year. Since then, I’ve canceled Prime, and if I need it shipped, I buy straight from merchants - Shopify has also picked up merchants I like.

Yes, I think that's part of it. Plus they're doing this over 4 days and Walmart is running a competing sale. So it'll be interesting to see how this shapes up

Bezos deserves worse than this. I boycot Amazon. I support the idea of developing a people’s network to compete with Amazon. Pay the workers better wages, profit share, improved work conditions. It would be an icon of by the people for the people!
