We saw Country Joe at the Bath Festival of Blues & Something or Other* in 1970. Billed as "…and the Fish, but , disappointingly, was just Joe. "The Fish are at home…resting, " CJ explained. * possibly the two dread words: "progressive rock".

oh bummer - saw CJ & the Fish many times - always a spectacular show - I saw him years later doing a single show - very nice person - refused to stop screaming "give me an F" so the powers that be banned him - much respect - he used his talent to protest & unite us 💜
