I wouldn't call this backward thinking, sideways maybe. I feel like this technology could have been more impactful a few decades ago.

The cynic in me thinks it could possible be a plant from Big Oil to keep companies from moving to EV's, the optimist in me is hoping it could help those who refuse to buy EV switch to a more enviormentally friendly vehicle, the realist in me is wondering where the fuck the carbon goes.
