Water is the ONLY reason historical settlement occurred establishing the cities we have now in arid areas. If it was left to flow in natural channels, most of our settlement would NOT exist in the locations they do today. This was done by white men impacting the Native populations.
These long ago choices have now exacerbated water shortages and fighting about water appropriation. The Native people understood how to steward the land.
These while men, often in the name of religion suppressed and took the resources everyone shared. History repeating itself for a single moment of performance. Stepping off my soap box, thanks for reading and responding.
