Delighted for information to be shared. Sharing of information is such a wonderful thing, so well done to the uncelebrated woman who shared her knowledge with Anne who had not been able to identify what plant was causing the sickness. We should recognise all forms and contributions to knowledge.
I don´t think anyone, wants honor to be stolen... and to be fair, she did tell everyone, that she was told by a Shawnee woman, in the woods. Maybe she didn´t know her name? She could have taken the honor (1834), but she didn´t. That is why, today, we know the knowledge came from someone else.😊
