I’m pretty sure lots of fandom actors who survive off the convention circuit have some controversial politics but are intelligent enough or advised well enough to not go mask off to not lose their income.

An ex-Doctor Who actor for example can make a shit ton at conventions alone, very unwise to risk losing that as fans no longer support you. It IS possible to be self-aware enough to not do shit like “oooooo HP stuff”.
