Things are ready to warm up in France! Welcome back.
Things are ready to warm up in France! Welcome back.
Oh dear. Mrs D heading to Ldn shortly and there's a week of tube strikes.
These are tricky times for travel! Hope she has a successful visit.
Merci. I'm glad our trip to Strasbourg in November is by road. Not flying anywhere this Christmas. Home sweet home. Paris in the spring; our friend has just finished decorating her apartment. Reclaimed after years of renters.
I really like Strasbourg but haven't been in years. November should be fun out there! Keep me posted for your Paris visit, would be great to meet up again.
Definitely.
I love Strasbourg too. I worked there in the past but much prefer it as a tourist
First time in Strasbourg I had been working in Cologne and took the train to France. Lovely journey along the Rhine
I wish I had more time there to explore the bike routes through the vineyards too.
Hopefully it won’t rain which would make things worse.
The list omitted the nut-brown-tanned Parisians complaining bitterly that they only had 3 weeks holiday.
Why did they only have 3 weeks? Isn’t that sacrilege?
It's a little short, but for those who like to ski, they need to save a few more weeks for that season.
Aha!!! Totally makes sense.
LOL but Parisians complain about everything, all the time! It goes without saying. 😂
This explains a certain family member. I’ve never met a more negative person.
It's the local sport here!
Tell me about it. I think my husband left France to get away from the negativity in his family.
Bien sûr !
Un vrai soixante - huit....
You didn't expect strikes in France during the holiday period did you? Get real.
I just talked about this with family visiting from NYC over the weekend. I explained the traditional cycle of strike threats (sometimes real) in June, but then everyone makes sure summer holidays aren't disrupted but then all bets are off in September. This one will be especially hot!
Is this true? We will probably be in France in late September or October. I swear the transportation workers decide to strike when they hear that we’re coming.
Just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean they won't get you.
😂
Everyone seems angry with the changes that were proposed (removing 2 public holidays) so we'll see, but September may be a tricky one. Maybe it will be solved by October? Always hard to say.
Sigh.
We are in for exciting times!!
Temperatures may be cool but it's still going to be hot out there.
