Hakeem might be dreaming full throttle! You never know what Trump’s ground will be. It changes from one minute to the next!

IKR???? How absolutely appalling. The Democratic Party is currently run by people who have no interest in pushing policies that actually help people. They’ll always “compromise.”

Compromise? Say what it is- they follow the wishes of their biggest donors and not the people who elected them

I know the Dem leadership has dreadful polling now, but I'd be curious to understand why anyone likes them or supports them. They believe in nothing but themselves.

There’s really no other option in terms of the ability to win an election. The party system needs to change, but I doubt that it will anytime soon.

A new third party is a hard ask, but other countries have managed it without proportional representation. The UK Labour party didn’t exist until about 100 years ago.

And as for independent Presidents… well. You need big donors and no scruples to win Also the electoral college is an anachronism. Counting is easier, travel is easier. The president should be the popular vote of all the citizens not one adjusted by state

I don't see this happening any time soon, unfortunately. It's happened in the past but would be a real struggle these days. The party insisted on wanting outside voices to come into the party and then once they arrived, they said "no, not like that."

I know there are issues, but at least from afar, I like the French multi-party system which forces conflicting interests to form the occasional alliance. So many different points of view are represented.
